Miani Gems hand-made, custom, fine jewelry is crafted using .925 sterling silver or otherwise noted the description. Bezels are made with fine silver (.999). These are precious metal and will last a lifetime!
The variety of turquoise we use is from mines located mostly in North America, many of which are now closed and will never provide more than what is already mined, giving the jewelry we make more desirable because of the limited resources of rare turquoise. About Miani
As a youngster, I was given small bags of broken jewelry to play with and repair for fun. Apparently, jewelry came naturally and a passion for the trade developed very early in my childhood. After motherhood, I began working with an antique dealer who sold Victorian gold and silver and so, I ventured to explore wire design at Young Harris School of Lapidary Arts in N. C. Along came my focus on silver work, with the well known Malcolm Ross in Key West, and other local silversmiths. Soon, my desire to create emerged. I began to explore Turquoise modalities and their magnetic qualities within the abundance of different stones from mines in North America. It is written that you can get bitten by the Turquoise ‘bug’ and so be it!
